WOMEN’S HEALTH
OUR DREAM
Northwest Iowa has been blessed with access to Certified Nurse Midwives for more than 30 years, and for much of that time, a freestanding birth center has been a shared dream within our community. With recent changes to Iowa birth center regulations, that dream is now becoming a reality.
We are honored to expand access to midwifery care and offer families another safe, empowering option for birth in our region. Out-of-hospital birth is an appropriate choice for low-risk pregnancies, and midwives are experts in supporting physiologic labor and birth.
At Morning Glory Birth & Wellness, families are supported in a calm, home-like environment where they can move freely, eat, rest, and labor in deep birth tubs if desired. After birth, families typically stay a few hours to rest, recover, and ensure stability before returning home to settle into their own beds and care for their newborn with minimal interruption.
It has been an honor to attend more than 300 births over the past 6+ years. I look forward to continuing to grow access to midwifery care and offering a new, meaningful birth option for families in Northwest Iowa.
In addition to midwifery care, I am certified in Women’s Integrative and Functional Medicine and am passionate about bringing a more root-cause approach to women’s health. I love working alongside women to support hormone balance, fertility, and overall wellness through nutrition, herbal medicine, and integrative, evidence-informed care.
